About
About DEX Decoded
DEX Decoded is an independent educational blog. We explain how decentralized exchanges and Uniswap work, in plain English, so that more people can understand this technology before deciding whether it is for them.
Why this blog exists
Decentralized finance is full of jargon, hype, and conflicting incentives. A lot of what gets written about it is trying to sell you something. We wanted a calmer, clearer alternative: a place that explains the mechanics — how an automated market maker prices a swap, what a liquidity pool really is, where the risks come from — without telling anyone what to buy or promising anyone a profit.
What we do
- Publish careful, beginner-friendly explanations of how DEXs and Uniswap work.
- Use clear diagrams and worked, clearly-labelled illustrative examples.
- Talk honestly about risk, including the ways people lose money in DeFi.
- Keep the site fast, accessible, and free to read.
What we don't do
- We do not give investment, financial, legal, or tax advice.
- We do not make price predictions or promise profit, income, or returns.
- We do not offer a way to swap, trade, or buy crypto, and we don't link to one.
- We do not publish trading signals, strategies, or "get rich" content.
Independence and trademarks
DEX Decoded is an independent educational resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Uniswap, Uniswap Labs, or any token issuer. We write about Uniswap because it is a widely studied, well-documented example of an automated market maker. “Uniswap” and “UNI” are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only descriptively, to refer to the technology we explain.
How our content is made
Articles are written and edited by the DEX Decoded editorial team and aim to describe how the technology works as accurately as we can in plain language. Protocols evolve, and details can change over time; if you spot something out of date or unclear, we'd genuinely like to hear about it.
